Samapriya devi das is an authentic practitioner of bhakti yoga as taught by the original ambassador of bhakti yoga to the west, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, later to be internationally known as “Srila Prabhupada” or simply “Prabhupada.” Spiritual life is not a dull expression of nothingness, as some would have it. This is the soul-stirring saga of a young Jewish woman from Brooklyn, New York and her life as a Hare Krishna devotee. Growing up in the 1960s she experiences a spiritual awakening embracing the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Through drama, humor, prayer, prose and poetry, Samapriya takes us from the phenomenal Woodstock Music Festival to the front lines of the Sankirtan Army and then to the holy dhamas of India, as she journeys on The Divine Love Trip.
